Playsafe Systems – a brief history

We have been informed by Ingenico that they have ended production of their iSelf Chip & Pin/Contactless units and that they are now End of Life.
Please note that we have used both the V3 & V4 versions of this unit on our PayStations in the past and therefore your PayStation may be fitted with one of these units.
Although both units are EoL, they will continue to operate as normal – however if they develop a fault that, it must be noted that the below applies to each variant:
V3—Completely end of life, cannot be repaired
V4—Will be repairable until late 2026 but stock of Advance Replacement units is extremely limited.

Although your devices will continue to work normally, we highly recommend that you consider upgrading your units.
We have brought together an upgrade kit that will allow you to replace either the V3 or V4 with the latest Ingenico Self 4000 Chip & Pin Device.
